Tāmaki Housing looks after all of the state houses in Tāmaki (Glen Innes, Panmure and Point England). That means we support over 2,500 local whānau.
We serve our tenants by:
- Understanding their culture and history
- Understanding their needs - now and in the future
- Providing them with choices that help them live with dignity and pride
We are part of the Tāmaki Regeneration Company (TRC), which is owned by the Government and Auckland Council. TRC is leading the Tāmaki regeneration programme, which is bringing thousands of new homes to Glen Innes, Panmure and Point England, and improving our streets, parks and town centres. We are working alongside mana whenua, the community, schools and businesses to provide more connection and opportunity for all Tāmaki locals, including jobs and skills training.
We will be replacing old state homes in Glen Innes, Panmure and Point England with about 3,500 new warm, modern state homes over the next 20 years. We are also working with our partners to build around 3,500 more affordable homes for whānau to buy. You can read more about them here.
We will always follow the Tāmaki Commitment: Those who wish to stay in Tāmaki will have the opportunity to do so. We work closely with our tenants to make sure we’re serving your needs.
