Health, Safety & Risk Manager


Reporting to the CFO, the Health & Safety and Risk Manager will be responsible for monitoring and managing strategic risk, ensuring Tāmaki Regeneration Company’s health and safety responsibilities are appropriately discharged, and making sure all IT requirements are appropriately met. The Risk element of this role includes managing the risk framework, facilitating, and embedding risk knowledge, identification & assessment throughout the company.  The Information Management component of this job focuses on ensuring the file structure is appropriate and ensures efficient access to information for all stakeholders.  Ensuring confidentiality and privacy is adhered to, and managing IT and computer systems to ensure appropriate security measures, hardware and software are in place are other key duties.   Health & Safety is critically important to TRC, with this role focusing on managing all H&S obligations, liaising with development partners to manage risk developers may create on TRC, and ensuring all staff are provided with appropriate training to meet their obligations.

This is a very interesting, varied, rewarding role requiring outstanding risk management, compliance, interpersonal, communication, and commercial skills. Candidates must have experience designing and implementing processes to ensure governance and compliance objectives are met. Experience managing IT functionality, reporting and driving delivery of outcomes within a team setting, and the proven ability to leverage relationships to drive results are all essential.  Your CV will clearly indicate your previous successes gained while working in other similar positions in New Zealand.  You’ll relish the chance to actively contribute to an organisation, and you’ll enjoy imparting your knowledge and acting as a role model for others.

Tenancy Manager

As a Tenancy Manager for Tāmaki Housing Association, you will provide effective tenancy management services to your neighbourhood. You will proactively engage with tenants ensuring tenancy and maintenance requests are appropriately resolved, the debtor lists are reviewed regularly, and corrective action is taken with the tenants and antisocial behaviour complaints against the tenants are addressed. It is also your job to ensure the voice of your tenants are heard and they feel supported.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring all current and prospective tenants receive responsive, appropriate, respectful and quality customer service. You will also provide advice and guidance on complex matters regarding tenancy management, legislation, policy and practice.

The right candidate will have demonstrated their energy, credibility and relationship building skills in a customer-facing service delivery environment that has embarked on a journey of change. You have the ability to calmly influence and engage with internal and external stakeholders. As a natural problem solver with a passion for social and cultural initiatives, you have developed robust systems and process discipline and have a good understanding of what it means to deliver good service.
